I was second of my 4 roommates to make it to the apartment, the one that had gotten there first was still in the hall with all of her stuff, trying to get in the room. We finally got the door open after another 10 minutes. The apartment is nice. To the left is a picture of the living room and Hannah. It is bigger than I thought it would be. There are three bedrooms, and the way it worked out, I got a room to myself, even though there are too beds in there. Kinda lonely, but I think I will manage.
After my other 3 roommates got to the apartment, we inadvertently locked one of them out, in an attempt to show them how difficult it was to get the door open. She was stuck out in the hall and we were stuck in the
Anyways, after we got checked in and everything me, one of my roommates, and one of our neighbors who I had met in the taxi from the airport, walked to a nearby square got lunch and cash, and went back to the apartment where I managed to stay up until 8:30! Yay me!
Today was a busy day. We started an orientation with far to much mingling at 9 in the morning, and that got out at like 1, and then lunch was open. We made it back to the apartment for a siesta at about 3 after grocery shopping. At 6 we had a neighborhood walk around where we were given a tour of our neighborhood with everyone else who lives in our neighborhood. Our neighborhood is so cute! There is a high-end shopping district a couple blocks away with a great cafe vibe. We ended the tour at the CYA campus where we had another talk by the president. On the way back I started coughing again. Drat. On the plus side I got the door opened in less than a minute! Everyone was amazed. Well, I guess I might not go out with everyone I had met so far and more tonight at like midnight. Whatever. I'm exhausted.
Oh! Here are pictures!
This is my bed!
This is the hall. My door is directly to the right. Ahead is our living room/Cathy and Hannah's room, as well as 1 and a quarter bathrooms, and the kitchen.
Speaking of bathrooms, here is the tiniest bathroom I have ever had the opportunity to use.
Here is the "big" bathroom.
Here is our tiny/awesome kitchen.
